Mrs. Jessie Wiggs Middleton Blue, 90, died Sunday, December 9, at the Edwin Morgan Center.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Revs. Nick Mager and Elizabeth Forester.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Peyton of Decatur, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Jessie Wiggs began as a teacher in Currituck County and later was a caseworker for the Scotland County Department of Social Services. She was a former member of the Laurinburg Pilot Club and a volunteer at Scotland Memorial Hospital for many years.
She was also a life member of Laurinburg Presbyterian Church where she received Honorary Life membership in the Women of the Church.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
