Jesse Alton Mauldin

Mr. Jess Alton Mauldin, 66, of 100 Marietta Street died Sunday, April 23, at Anson Community Hospital in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel with Rev. Tommy Tice officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Born April 18, 1934 in Richmond County, he was a son of the late Bud and Annie Parks Mauldin. He was a self employed mechanic and carpenter, a US Air Force veteran and he attended Southside Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters; Carol Cutlip of Laurel Hill and Ann Mauldin of Wagram, two sons; John Allen Mauldin of Jacksonville, FL and Jesse A. Mauldin, Jr. of Lumberton, three sisters; Alva Kantner of Wadesboro, Sarah English of Greensboro and Vaterbell Woodell of Hazelhurst, GA, three brothers; James Mauldin of Laurinburg, Murph Mauldin of Gastonia and Melvin Mauldin of Hazelhurst, four grandchildren and a special friend; Pet Tarlton.
