Jerry Allen Haywood

Jerry Allen Haywood, 76, of Troy, was called to his eternal home on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Wadeville Methodist Church, officiated by Tony Sedberry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born May 12, 1947, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Allen Thomas and Edith Kiger Haywood. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and farming the land.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda Jean Haywood, of the home; son, Jeremy Haywood (Lee); daughter, Amy Callicutt (Brandon), both of Troy; brother, Mark Haywood of Mt. Gilead; and grandchildren, Maggie, Bennett, Hunter, Case, and Everett. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Haywood and Don Haywood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wadeville Methodist Church, 1121 Wadeville Rd., Mt. Gilead, NC, 27306.
