Jeane Alice Heath, 76, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by her son, Bryan Heath.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Jeane is survived by her husband of 6 years, Barry Heath of the home; her daughters, Susan Caskey of Flagstaff, AZ, and Lorri-Ann of Laurinburg; her son, Bryan Heath of Suwanne, GA; brothers, Douglas G. Chivvis and Floyd Chivvis, both of Lindenhurst, NY; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Pearson.

Born January 23, 1940 in Suffolk County, New York, she is the daughter of the late George Douglas and Alice Abrahams Chivvis. She was the owner and operator of a Huddle House in Miami and later worked for Laurinburg Surgical Clinic.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Friday, September 9, 2016 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
