Janet Darlene (Chavis) Beasley

Janet Darlene Chavis Beasley, passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 63.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd.  Burial will follow at Laurinburg Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Born on January 14, 1961, in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Earlene Chavis Hewitt.  Her gentle, kind, and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Darlene was farmer and homemaker.  Darlene found joy working in her flower garden, where she cultivated beauty and tranquility. Her beloved dog, Baby, was never far from her side, providing companionship and happiness throughout the years. Above all, Darlene loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jimmy Neal Beasley of the home; children, James Darrell Seals (Rachel) and Danny Cential Seals (Kim), both of Laurinburg, and Janet Denise Norton (Jonathan Drew) of Laurel Hill; step-children, Lisa Hunt (James) of Wagram, Michelle Perkins (Carmen) of Laurinburg, and Jenny Cox (Randy) of Lumberton; sisters, Geraldine Luther (Wiley), Mildred Doss, and Peggy Locklear, all of Laurinburg, and Joyce Barton (Darrell) of Maxton; grandchildren, Jess, Shantial, Danyah, Dacota, Dalton, MicKenna, Missy, and six additional grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by one grandchild, sister, Jean Chavis; brothers, Danny Chavis and Charles Chavis; and brother-in-law, Mitchell Doss.

The family would like to especially thank Chasity Mooser, a very special friend and Medi Hospice for all the love and support they showed Mom and us.
