James Dillon Thompson

James Dillon Thompson, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Love Joy United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Justin Wells and Rev. Clay Morgan.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born September 4, 1935, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Eldridge and Ornie Morgan Thompson. James loved fishing and having a good meal.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Thompson (Debby) of Troy, Tim Thompson (Julie) of Hernando, FL., and Anthony Thompson (Denise) of Troy; grandchildren, Clay, Emily, Hillary, Brian, and Josh; great-grandchildren, Wyatt James, Kenzie Ellen, Tucker James, and Cage Jaxon. He is preceded in death by his companion, Geraldine Thompson and his sister, Zelma Morris.
