James “Rick” Lett, age 84, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Hillside Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Tim Hodge.

Born on August 10, 1941, in Anson County, he was a son of the late Early Green Lett and Cassie Morton Lett.

James, more often referred to as Rick loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed sports and sitting on his back porch. Rick also loved his family and his animals.

He is survived by his brother, Pete Lett of Bennettsville; and his nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in his brothers, Stacy, Dennis and Bob Lett; sister, Linda Lett; and nephew, John Barfield (John John).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the charity of choice.
