Mr. James Lee Wright, 76, of 12300 Fair Lane died Wednesday, May 17, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Nick Mager. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife; Ramona E. Wright; two sons, Paul and his wife, Monica, of Simpsonville, KY and Mark and his wife, Angela, of Cary; a sister, Violet Jenkins of Richmond, VA; 3 grandchildren; Heather Lauren Wright, Nicole Earp Wright, and Lauren Cameron Wright of Cary.
Born February 17, 1924 in Price Hill, WV, he was a son of the late Andrew Lee and Georgia S, Wright. He graduated from Pinnacle High School in Pinnacle, NC and was a US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He also studied through International Correspondence Schools in electrical engineering and power plan engineering. He was an electrical engineer and worked in power production. Most recently he was involved in safety consulting work with the State of North Carolina and Lakewood Hills Consultants, Inc.
