James Fulton "Jimmy" McBryde, Jr., 73, passed away Friday, April 12, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Rebecca Kahnt. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine "Jean" McQueen McBryde; his son, Jim McBryde (Diane) of Laurinburg; his daughters, Cindy Salinas (Bobby) of Columbia, SC and Debbie Odom (Mike) of Laurinburg; his dog and faithful companion, Maggie; his grandchildren, Chad Henderson, Mikey Odom, Ashley Odom, and Madison Salinas; his great grandchild, Carter Odom. He was preceded in death by his brother, John McBryde.
Born September 28, 1939 in Red Springs, he was a son of the late James F. and Mary Margaret McRainey McBryde. A graduate of Red Springs High school, he served for 36 years as a machinist and in maintenance for REA Magnet Wire/Phelps Dodge.
Jimmy enjoyed spending special times with his family on vacations at the beach as well as playing golf.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium and other times at the residence.
