James Hollingsworth "Jay" Medlin, Jr., 49, passed away Thursday, October 18, at home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Clark Medlin; his son, Michael Medlin of Laurinburg; his daughter, Beverly Medlin of Laurinburg; his mother, Peggy Moody Medlin of Laurinburg.
Born September 23, 1963 in Laurinburg, he was also a son of the late Jame H. "Jimmy" Medlin. He was a fireman for the Gibson Volunteer Fire Department and formerly served with the Laurinburg Fire Department. In his free time he enjoyed a bit of golf, hunting, and fishing.
Memorials are requested for the Gibson Volunteer Firs Dept., PO Box 261, Gibson, NC 28343.
Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
