James "Malloy" Ivey, Sr., 84, of Laurinburg passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at his residence.

Born May 12, 1941 in Robeson County, he was the son of the late James Elbert and Geneva Arnette Ivey. Malloy was retired from Bell South (AT&T) with 35 years of service. He was in the US Air Force and a second-generation Auxiliary officer for 15 years for the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department. He had a love for tractors especially restoring them. He was a member of the Pee Dee Antique Power Club for over twenty years and the IMSA Silhouette Group Shooting Club.
He is survived by his two sons, Jim Ivey (Angi) of Darlington, SC and Ronnie Ivey of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Davis Ivey of Charleston, SC and Franklin Ivey of Darlington, SC; brothers, Gene Ivey (Sue) of Laurinburg and Mike Ivey (Carlee) of Michigan; sisters, Ann Weaver (Marvin) of Bennettsville, SC and Sandi Mousa (Arafat) of California.
