James Chase Fitzner, 32, beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on January 5, 2012.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, at the First Baptist Church, Laurinburg officiated by the Rev. C. F. McDowell, III.
He is survived by his sister, Penni Bye and husband, Philip of Clayton; his maternal grandmother, Penny Richardson of Laurinburg; his paternal grandmother, Lucille Fitzner of Greensboro; his step-mother, Regine Fitzner of St. Croix, USVI, his nephews, Preston and Parker Bye; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Fitzner and his mother Phoebe Richardson.
Chase was a 1997 graduate of Scotland High School and obtained his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, and later pursued a Master's Degree in anesthesiology from Emory University. He was employed in the pharmaceutical industry at the time of his death.
Chase had a sense of humor and wit that will never be forgotten. We lift him up in prayer and will always love him.
