James Earl "Dinky" Hinson, Jr., 46, died Thursday, September 25, at Hospice House in Rockingham.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Flinty Knoll Primitive Baptist Church in Ellerbe.
He is survived by his wife; Ada Lewis "Dale" Hinson; his mother and step-father, Flossie Lemmon Kennan and Claude Kennan of Reidsville; daughter, Bobbie Jo Parnell of Goldsboro; brother, Benny Lee Hinson of Rockingham; sister, Claudia Kennan of Reidsville; step-daughters, Stacie Lewis of Rockingham and Kylie Lewis of New York; four grandchildren, Aden Parnell, Sarah, Gracie, and Dylan.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Hinson; grandparents, Howard and Alma Lemmons of Hamlet, Earl Hinson of Durham, and Ruby and Hub Hardee of Laurinburg.
Born July 22, 1962 in Scotland County, Dinky worked in construction.
