James "Jim" Albert Lytch, Sr.

James “Jim” Albert Lytch, Sr., 82, of Laurinburg, NC passed away on January 13, 2025.

Born January 8,1943 in Laurinburg, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Dupree Lytch, Sr. and Shore Blue Lytch.  He graduated from Laurinburg High School and Nashville Auto-Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee.  He served his community as Fire Chief for 25 years and was owner of Laurinburg Machine Company.  He also served in the National Guard Reserves.

Visitation will be at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, January 17.  There will be a private service at a later date.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Albert Lytch, Jr., his brother William Dupree Lytch, Jr., sister Sally Twiddy, and former wife and friend, Kathryn Joseph Lytch.  He is survived by his daughter, Mary Kay Lytch (Justin Boyd); sister-in-law Pauline McCall Lytch; nephews Kenneth Ray Lytch (Mark Greene), Keith Lytch (Ruth), great nephew Bryce Lytch and great niece Margaret “Megan” Lytch.
