Jack McNeill Smith
A celebration of life for Jack McNeill Smith, 66, of Buford, GA, will be held Friday September 14, 2012 at 11 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel in Buford.
Jack died Monday, September 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jack is survived by his wife Mike and children Dr. Brian Smith, and wife Laura, of Shelby, NC and daughter Christy King of Columbia, SC, four wonderful grandchildren; Austin and Davis Smith and Mary Katherine and Wills King. He is also survived by nieces Cathy Spainhour of Kingsville, TX and Melinda Bradley of Dallas, NC, nephew Joseph Reece Smith III, several great nieces and nephews, a number of cousins and a host of amazing friends.
Jack grew up in Laurinburg, NC and moved to Georgia in 1990. We would like to thank all the people at Duke University Medical that took such good care of him…they never gave up!
The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
