Mrs. Isolina Valines, 97, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Edwin Morgan Center in Laurinburg.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, at Saint Luke United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Valines is survived by two daughters, Myrta Cox of Laurinburg and Awilda Andino and husband Manuel of Enterprise, AL; six grandchildren, Melissa Ciarrocca (Brian) of Laurinburg, Alyson Nance (Lewis) of Fayetteville, NC, Kevin Cox (Lisa) of Lexington, SC, Michelle Andino of Midlothian, VA, Nicole Langford (Jeremy) of Dothan, AL and Manuel Andino (Maribeth) of Enterprise, AL; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Valines, two sisters, Providencia and Carmen Luisa and her brother, Jose Luis.
Mrs. Valines was born in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Luis Berrios and Claudina Delgado Berrios. She and her husband relocated to Laurinburg after his retirement. Mrs. Valines was a devoted wife , mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Luke United Methodist Church, 1501 Turnpike Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352 or to Alzheimer's NC, 1305 Navajo Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609.
The family will receive friends at the home of Myrta Cox and following the service at the church.
