Isabelle Simmons Cranford, 84, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 657 Liberty Hill Church Rd., Mt. Gilead, NC officiated by the Rev. Jim Hunsucker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by her sons, Harold Cranford (Ann), June Cranford (Jean), Jeff Cranford (Laura), and John Cranford (Crystal) all of Troy; daughters, Lynn Bowman (Jimmy) of Troy, Dawn Thompson (Brad) of Pee Dee and Paula Rodriguez (Nacho) of Candor; sister, Gerldine Blake of Exway; brother, Jeff Simmons of Concord; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Harold Cranford, Sr.
Born June 21, 1932 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Junnie and Virginia Parrish Simmons. She was previously employed by Jeanette Maternity Co. in Biscoe, NC. She was a loving mother to her children including numerous children in the community.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 1-2 pm at the church prior to the service.
