Mr. Isaac Newberry, 76, of 420 Second Street died Thursday, September 11.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Clayton Gween. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Herring Newberry; a son, Daniel Newberry of North Glenn, CO; a daughter, Doris Kennedy of Fayetteville; a brother, Marion Newberry of Chicago; two sisters, Phil Young of Owen, PA and Louise Scott of Kinston; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Newberry.
Born December 23, 1926 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late James and Lonnie Miller Newberry. He was a retired mechanic for Morgan Mills and Fieldcrest Mills. Isaac also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
