Mrs. Irene Cooper Elliott, 71, of 1108 Hammond Drive died Thursday, April 17, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Luther D. Kimrey. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived is survived by her husband of 54 years Charles M. Elliott of the home, one son, Charles Larry Elliott and wife, Marika of Merritt Island, FL;, one daughter, Gay E. Anderson and husband, Brett of Charlotte; and 3 grandchildren, Chad and Jennifer Elliott, and Lauren Anderson.
Born November 13, 1931 in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie Rogers Cooper. Irene was a former employee of Southern Bell, and of Scotland Memorial Hospital and a former member of the Laurinburg Lions Club.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
