Ina Mae Long Sellers, 93, completed her earthly journey on June 14, 2017.
A funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rockingham NC, officiated by the Rev. Dave Amon. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Born March 11, 1924, in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Preston and Bessie McDonald Long. She lived a long life and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, gardening and people. She never met a stranger and lived every day of her life fully.
She is survived by sons, O.C. Sellers Jr., (Mavis) of Laurinburg, Oscar “Buddy” Sellers (Sheila) of Hamlet and Michael Sellers (Brenda) of Rockingham; daughters, Christine Woodward of Laurinburg and Sharman Thurman (Michael) of Raleigh; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Okley Chasteen Sellers, Sr.; brothers, Worth Long, Henry Long and Tom Long; sisters, Nancy Craven, Nettie Crudo, Mary Killough, Ruby Lassiter, and Audrey Olson; son-in-law, Brooks Woodward, Sr., and daughter-in-law Linda Fields Sellers.
A visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
