Ida Lucille Coulter, 94, passed away on Wednesday July 17th, 2013 at the Edwin Morgan Center in Laurinburg.
A private family service will be held on Saturday, July 20th.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Jean Stubbs of Lake Charles, LA, Amogie Marie Chiamis of Brooksville, FL, Joyce L. Harris of Plant City, FL, and Marilyn Roughton of Hamlet; two sons, Danny F. Coulter (Maura) of Laurinburg, and Ronnie G. Coulter (Janice) of Middletown, IN; 43 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; and 43 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, James A. Coulter and daughter, Jackie D. Miller.
Born August 5, 1918 in Anderson, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Margret A. Stinnett Gray. She was President of the Young At Heart-Senior Club and was very instrumental in starting the yearly Soup sale for the club. In addition, she was President of the VFW Auxiliary and was on the former governor Jim Hunt's Senior Advisory Committee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, N.C. 28353.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
