Hyatt Burton Grissom passed away at his home on January 20, 2022.
Hyatt was born on a farm between Ophir and Eleazer on September 29, 1939, to Tommie Reid Tucker and Lafayette Kiles (“Fate’) Grissom.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Stinson Grissom of the home; daughters, Ruth Ann Grissom (Marcus Plescia) of Charlotte and Amy Grissom of Charlotte; and grandchildren Eleazer Grissom (“Lee”) Cohen of Brooklyn, NY, and Stella Ruth Cohen of Swarthmore, PA.
The family plans for a private celebration of life at a later date.
Hyatt loved the Uwharries. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Uwharries in some way.
