Mr. Henry M. Deaton, Jr. of 23700 Sheffield Circle died Thursday, September 13, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dale Deese. Burial will follow in hillside Cemetery.
He is survived by three sisters, Margaret L. Scott of Wagram, Betty Lou Bartlett and husband, Kenneth of Marion, IA, and Cornelia Ann Cosey of Laurel Hill; a brother, Joseph D. Deaton and wife, Betty Lou of Laurel Hill. He is also survived by 10 nephews, 7 nieces, 11 great nephews, and 9 great nieces.
Mr. Deaton was a man well known for his great honor and integrity in the community. Throughout his life he loved people for who they were, therefore he was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Henry Deaton Memorial Fund, PO Box 187, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
