Helen Frances Stewart Monroe
February 26, 1921 — July 11, 1999
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. Roger Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Mock, James Monroe, Jim Dalrymple, Bob Ormsby, Jimmy McKenzie, Phillip Tucker, Mack Tucker and Tommy Sipka.
Born February 26, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tebe Stewart. Widowed twice by age 25, Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by three husbands; Arvil Farrington, Jacob Loftin Mock, and Sam Howard'Dick' Monroe. A sister, Margaret Stewart Beane also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, J.L. Mock and James Howard Monroe and their wives; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Stewart Dennis Causey of High Point; an aunt, Ruth Welborn of Sophia.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 PM at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
