Helen Holmes Parks

Mrs. Helen Holmes Parks, 74, of 14800 Peterson Street and formerly of 704 Lee's Mill Road, Laurinburg died Sunday, April 4, at her home.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Russell Baker and Don Malpass. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Fipps and her husband, Charlie, of Laurel Hill; a granddaughter, Sharla Huneycutt and her husband, Marcus, of Youngsville; two brothers, Sterling Holmes of Dunn and Leo Holmes of Kissimee, FL; a sister, Reice Eaton of Hope Mills.

Born December 8, 1924 in Greensboro, she was a daughter of the late Carly Marr Holmes and Carrie Hester Mabe Holmes and widow of the late William Roy Parks. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from the sample room at J. P. Stevens.
