Grace L. Reeder

Grace L. Reeder, 89, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Bryant Madren.  A private burial will be held at Shady Grove Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born December 21, 1929 in Randolph County, she was a daughter of the late Russell Amos and Lessie Mae Phillips Reeder.  She attended Shady Grove Christian Church and she worked at Fruit of the Loom, formerly known as Russell Hosiery Mill.  She loved sewing, quilting, but most of all making baby quilts.

She is survived by her only child, Penny Cranford of Troy; her sister, Elizabeth Kinney (Frank); six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her son, Edgar Lee Reeder, one great great-grandson, six brothers, and one sister.
