Gloria Jenrette Riggins, 75, died on February 9, 2008 after a lengthy illness.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter and the Rev. Elizabeth Forester.
She is survived by her sons; Michael Riggins and wife, Kathleen of St. Louis, MO and Tommy Riggins III and wife Theresa and niece Constance Riggins of Davenport Iowa. Other survivors are her sister, Clara Marks and husband, Bill of Acme-Delco, nieces Donna McBride and husband, Frank, Nancy Covil and husband, Wayne, and Lori Jenrette; and nephew, Jon Jenrette and wife Mary.
She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Ruth Jenrette of Laurinburg. Additionally, she was the sister of the late Bill Jenrette of Wadesboro. Gloria graduated from Laurinburg High School in 1950. She furthered her education and graduated from Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Gloria practiced as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for many years at Scotland Memorial Hospital and Charlotte Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends for 6-8 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
