Gloria Dean (Grooms) Carter

Gloria Dean Grooms Carter, 68, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

A memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Due to Covid-19, please practice social distancing and all attendees must wear a mask or face covering.

Born January 11, 1952 in Aiken County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Colon Daniel and Nina Brown Grooms. Gloria had an absolute love for flea markets and enjoyed working in the yard.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Carter of the home; sisters, Sherry Wallace and Beth Salzer; a special friend whom she loved as a sister, Joni Weatherford; special niece and nephew, Kelly Callahan and Kevin Wallace along with her other nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Spangler, and her brother’s, Tony Grooms and J.D. Grooms.
