Mrs. Gladys Stone Priest, 78, of 21323 Aberdeen Road, died Tuesday February 27, 2001 in Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday in North Laurinburg Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in King Cemetery.
Born February 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Bessie Snipes Stone. Her husband James "Doug" Priest and a daughter, Brenda K. Priest preceded her in death. A homemaker, Gladys in her younger years worked in the Scotland County School System. She was a member of the North Laurinburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons; Jimmie W. Priest and wife Barbara of Marshall, TX and Jerry M. Priest, Sr. and wife Diane of Laurinburg; one daughter, Reda F. Priest of Laurinburg; one brother, Lawrence Odell Stone and wife Rita of Hagerstown, MD; two grandchildren, Mitch Priest of Laurinburg and Amie Ellis of Gibson; two great grandchildren, Zachary Mitchell Kendall of Laurinburg and Cody Anthony Ellis of Gibson.
