Gerlene "Jerri" (Freeman) Cranford

Gerlene “Jerri” Freeman Cranford, age 69, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital.

The family will hold a private service on June 3, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm at their home.

Born June 14, 1953 in Swain County, she is the daughter of the late John and Chloe Styles Freeman.  She was beautiful inside and outside and could fix everything. Everybody loved her and Tammy and Randy said that you are number one and that Kim was the baby girl and the last.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles Randy Cranford of the home; daughters,

Tammy Tompkins (James) of Lakemont and Kim Lemons (Michael) of Troy; step-sons, Tim Cranford (Hillary) of Mt. Gilead and Cory Cranford (Jennifer) of Gibsonville, NC; step-daughter Tonya Morris (Charlie); grandchildren, Patrick Norman, Paige Atkins, Jet Tompkins, Carson Lemons, Alex Lemons, Brittany Monroe, and Daniel Lemons; step-grandchildren, Samantha Deaton (Ron), Sarah Cranford, Jaxson Cranford, Tucker Cranford, Laney Morris, Aiden Morris, Crystal Cranford, Josh Cranford, Amber Cranford, Dillon Cranford, and Lemia Cranford; great grandchildren, Lyla, Dawson, Chase, Emma, Grace, Brayden, Willow, and Emma; step-great grandchild, Oliver Deaton; and two brothers, Ricky and Stevie Freeman.  She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Allen Norman; and brothers, Billy, Randall, and Stanley Freeman.
