Gerald Ray Smith, 52, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Wagram Church of God officiated by the Rev. Harry Clark. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Hasty.
He is survived by his daughters, Danielle White of McColl and Christy Locklear of Rockingham; his brother, John D. Smith of Laurel Hill; his sisters, Martha Thrower of Laurinburg, Naomi Smith of Gibson, and Melba Bogdon of Laurel Hill; and 4 grandchildren.
Born July 7, 1959 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Alex David and Mary Williams Smith. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed working outside in his garden and being with his family.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
