Mr. George Everett Wilson, Sr., 77 of 13300 Blues Farm Road, died Tuesday March 28, 2000 in First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Stewartsville Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis McLean officiating. Burial with full Masonic Rites will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Born June 12, 1922 in Brentwood, PA he was the son of the late Everett K. and Margaret Kauffman Wilson. His wife, Rebecca Bishop Wilson preceded him in death.
George was a former clerk and bookkeeper with the Scotland Inn and the local ABC Store. He was a 32nd degree Mason AF & AM and a member of the Shrine, he served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. He was a member of Stewartsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons; George E. Wilson, Jr. and wife Wynneda of West End, and Jim Wilson and wife Kathyrn of Lexington, SC. Three brothers, Dave Wilson and Don Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA and Walt Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC. Three sisters, Peggy W. Rettinger of Greensboro, NC; Mary Agnes Dold and Anna Mae Walker both of Pittsburgh, PA. Two grandsons, J. Herbert Wilson, II of Lexington, SC and George Everett Wilson, III, of Richmond, VA.
