George R. Garrabrant

George Garrabrant, 73 of Maxton, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.

Born May 13, 1945 in Monmouth County, he was a son of the late William and Emily Baker Garrabrant. He served in the U.S. Airforce as a Jet Engine Technician which included time during the Vietnam War, Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Operation Freedom.

He is survived by his son, Troy Garrabrant and wife, Kimberly; and his daughter, Kellie Garrabrant both of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Molly Garrabrant; sister, Carol Bennett; brother, Fred Garrabrant; and his beloved canine companions, Thelma and Louise. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Garrabrant, his brother, William Garrabrant and sister, Patricia Rick.
