Fred Willis Hall, 101, formerly of Laurinburg passed away Sunday, May 24.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.
He is survived by his son, Michael Hall of Asheboro; his daughters. The Rev. Patricia Butson (John) of Laurinburg and Marilyn Holcomb (Steve) of Virginia Beach, VA; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A native of Marion, NC, he was the widower of the late Minna Hall. Fred was active in Laurinburg Masonic Lodge #305 and the Woodmen of the World. In early days he operated Fred's Grocery which was beside Mina's Beauty Shop on Wilson St. in Laurinburg, but later sold real estate for Johnson Brothers Realty and Construction Co. He thoroughly enjoyed selling homes, trading cars, tap dancing, and participating in dinner clubs.
