Fred Alfred Batton I., 84, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Morrison Manor.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Michael Price. Burial will follow the service at Laurinburg Memorial Park.
Born October 24, 1932 in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Crissie Harris Batton. He was a retired insurance agent.
He is survived by his children, Joyce Rogers (Tom), Gail Jackson (Garland Patterson) and Fred Alfred Batton II, all of Laurinburg; two grandchildren, Haynes Powell (Haley) and Leah Lyn Batton; four great grandchildren, Tyler, Mackenzie, Ean and Bryson; and his special friend, Shirley Skipper. He is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Shelva Batton and his son-in-law, Plez Jackson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6-8pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
