Franklin “Frank” David Brady, 85, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
At Frank’s request, there will be no services.
Born October 16, 1936, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late George Arlin and Annie Belle Lemonds Brady. Frank was retired from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and had worked at Capel after his retirement. The following are Frank’s own words: “I dared to live a life that most people are not aware exist. I do not feel that I failed because I did what I felt was right and was criticized for being poor and from the wrong side of the tracks. I stayed honest as a Law Enforcement Officer. I may not have solved all my crimes, but no man ever scared me or could buy me. I could not be intimidated. I served my country in the 2nd Battlegroup, 6th Infantry Division in Berlin Germany.”
He is survived by his daughter, Jolee Carol Lamonds of Troy; brothers, William Ray “Bill” Brady (Linda), and Johnny Brady, both of Troy; sister, Shirley Kern of Troy; nephew, Brian Brady (Michelle) of Troy; great niece, McKenzie Brady; and grandchildren, Christopher Austin Webb and Briella Raine Lamonds. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Rosa Jenkins and Glennie Brady; and brothers, C.L. Brady and Arlin Brady.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Ave., Salisbury, NC, 28144.
