The Honorable Frank Telfair Grady, Sr., 86, of Scotia Village died Wednesday, November 23, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morris Morgan Room, Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter and the Rev. Elizabeth Forester.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosario Morales Grady; two sons, Frank T. Grady, Jr. and wife, Jane of Raleigh and Gary A. Grady and wife, Joy of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Carolina G. Caddell and husband, Danny of Laurinburg and Melinda G. Gooden and husband, Dan of Southern Pines; his grandchildren, Scott A. Grady, John P. Grady, J. McRae Grady, Robbie D. Caddell and wife, Melissa, Kristi M. Caddell, Julie M. Caddell, Ann Marie Grady, Ryan Elizabeth Grady, and Mary J. Gooden; a great grandchild, Hannah Beth Caddell.
Mr. Grady was a US Army veteran of World War II which included service in North Africa, Sicily and Italy where he served as a forward observer. He then received his undergraduate and law degree from the University of North Carolina a Chapel Hill. From 1949-52 he had a private practice of law in Elizabethtown, 1952-54 was a Recordera
