Francis John Maguire, Jr.

Francis John Maguire, Jr., 76, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Born on October 20, 1946 in El Paso County, TX he was a son of the late Francis John Maguire and Emaline Dolinger Maguire.  Francis enjoyed going for car rides, football and racing.  He particularly like watching Gunsmoke. He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; children, Frances Suzanne Peck (Mike) of Alexandria, VA, Francis John Maguire, III (Monica) of Marion, VA and Laura Cindy Thompson of Bristol, VA; step-children, Nicholas Leazer of Raleigh, NC and Shannon Sessions (Sam) of Laurinburg; sister, Margaret Holliday of Wilmington, NC; and grandchildren, Joseph Dvorak, Ali Dvorak, Emmaline Thompson, Emeline Leazer, Karlee Sessions, and Carson Leazer.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Douglas Maguire.
