Mrs. Frances Everett Entwistle Harman, 94, died Sunday, June 22, 2008.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham officiated by the Rev. Dan Entwistle. Visitation will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Scotia Village, Laurinburg.
She is survived by her husband, Henry "Hank" Harman; two sons, Jack Entwistle of Charlotte and Jim Entwistle of Charleston, SC; two step-sons, Owen Harman of Neptune Beach, FL and David Harman of Hamden, CT; two step-daughters, Linda Schummers of Baltimore, MD and Carol Sanford of North Haven, CT; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Born June 8, 1914 in Rockingham, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Elizabeth Dockery Everett. She graduated from St. Mary's College, and from 1936 until his death in 1994 was married to John W. C. Entwistle. In 2004 she married Henry Harman.
Mrs. Harman was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Rockingham and was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg, where she funded the Entwistle Scholarship for deserving students.
