Frances A. Brown

Frances A. Brown, 84, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00am at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a face mask or another form of face covering. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Frances was born August 9, 1936. She was a daughter of the late Roy and Ollie Broadway Alexander. She enjoyed sewing and walking her dog, Bailey. After the closing of her beauty shop, The Beauty Basket, Frances worked in the textile industry until she retired.

She is survived by her sons, David Brown (Cathy) of Troy and Phillip Brown (Penny) of Biscoe; grandsons, Scottie (Daphne), Ryan, Michael, and Phillip Brown, II (Mandy); great-grandsons, Trad, Holden, Kenan, Bradley and Miles; sisters, Sandra Saunders (Frank) of Star, and Pat Batten (Gene) of Lexington, Kentucky.
