Frances Brock

Frances Brock, 80, of Mt. Gilead, passed away peacefully Monday, April 28, 2025 at FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in West End.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church in Norwood, officiated by Rev. Johnny Leslie. Burial will follow at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Born on December 7, 1944, in Bay County, FL, she was a daughter of the late Arlis and Mary Morris Brock. Frances lived a life marked by love, faith, and a passion for her family and community.

Frances was known for her unwavering faith and dedication to Jesus, which she expressed through her commitment to witnessing to others. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Frances had a particular talent for sewing, a hobby that brought her joy. Her skills in canning were unparalleled, preserving the bounty of each season for her family and friends to enjoy. Frances's love for the simple pleasures in life was evident in her fondness for dining at Jay's Seafood.

She is survived by her daughter, Vivian McInnis (Mickey) of Jackson Springs; sisters, Ileine Morris of Troy, and Joyce Earnhardt of Denton; nephews, Jack Brock and Kevin Martin; grandchildren, Darren Lefler (Gia), Michaela Bryant (Josiah), Madison McInnis, and Mikey McInnis; great-grandchildren, Marcos Ward, Georgie Lefler, Arlis Lefler, and one great-grandchild eagerly anticipated; and many other family members and church family that she loved so dearly.
