Florence Agnes McCormick Bannerman, 95, went to be with her loving Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2013.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium officiated by the Revs. Kelly Barr and Joel Perry. Burial will follow in the McCormick Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Brooks of Houston, TX and Joyce (Barry) Roberts of Laurinburg; her friend and companion for 12 years, Robby, her Siamese cat; three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Born December 30, 1919 at McCormick's Crossroads, she was a daughter of the late William Alexander and Mary Catherine Hasty McCormick and widow of the late John Robert Bannerman. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lynn and Will Frank McCormick, Mary Margaret Paul, Bertha Smith, Harriett Norton, and Ethel Hasty.
She served at Scotland Memorial Hospital as a Ward secretary and in various retail positions over the years
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
