Mrs. Florabelle Jones Ward, 90, of 8141 McQueen Road, died Tuesday, April 5, at her residence.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday, April 8, at the church officiated by Don Malpass. Burial will be 4:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery near Wampee, SC.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Hendrix and husband, Jerry of Laurinburg; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Born May 7, 1914 in Horry County, SC, she was a daughter of the late F. C. and Julia Hattie Jones and the widow of the late Lloyd Ward. She later moved to Elizabethtown, NC where she was a member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church and Sunday school teacher for 35 years and also an assistant teacher in their day school. She later moved to Laurinburg to be with her daughter and was active in Sunday school at Laurel Hill Baptist Church and a member of the WMU.
