Born on May 12, 1934, in Ashley Heights, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late   John S. Rorie, Sr. and Minnie Freeman Rorie. Faye lived a life marked by devotion to her community, a love for the simple pleasures in life, and an unwavering faith. Faye was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, where she found great joy in fellowship and service. Her commitment to her faith and her church community was evident in the countless hours she spent participating in church activities. Faye was a member of the UFO, Ruth’s Sunday School Class, Bereavement Committee and served countless meals for Vacation Bible School. She was considered a “Worker Bee” by all who knew her. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her there. In addition to her church involvement, Faye was an avid gardener, finding solace and happiness in the beauty of nature. Her garden was a testament to her patience and nurturing spirit, blooming with vibrant colors that reflected her own bright personality. Faye also had a passion for games, which she believed were a way to bring people together in laughter and camaraderie. Many will remember her for her competitive yet always gracious spirit during friendly games with family and friends. Those who knew Faye would describe her as loving, generous, and thoughtful. She had a natural ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many through her kind deeds and selfless acts. Faye's legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and gentle guidance. Her influence will continue to be felt by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will be cherished by all who were touched by her remarkable life.
