Everette Spurgeon Cook, Jr., 58, died January 30 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rogers Cemetery in McColl. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.

He is survived by his sons, Everette Cook, III of Pembroke, Jonathan Cook of Maxton and Danny Partridge of Arkansas; his daughters, Angela Locklear of Laurel Hill, Willie Mae Cook and Cassioppia Farina of Maxton; his brother, Ivey Cook of Laurel Hill; his sisters, Betty Phillips of Maxton, Juanita Grooms and Sheila Kelly of Laurinburg, Cindy Tyndall and Linda Rhye of Laurel Hill, 10 grandchildren.

He served in the US Marines in Vietnam and was a mechanic and salesman for Pleasant's Auto Sales.
