Evelyn Brown Pittman, 79, passed away Monday, April 29, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the East Laurinburg Church of God officiated by the Rev. Jeffery McGirt. Burial will follow at the Owens Cemetery, Green's Mill Rd., Bladenboro.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Pittman; her sons, James Pittman of Hope Mills, Dan Pittman (Sally) of Fresno, CA; her daughters, Gwen Reeves (Tom) of Boone and Vicky Woolum (David) of Holden Beach; her grandchildren, Katie Drye, Ben Reeves, Hannah Reeves, Casey Reeves, Holly Baker, Adam Woolum, Chris Woolum, and Aaron Pittman; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Woolum, Timothy Southern, Kaitlyn Southern, Gavin Woolum, Rosie Williams, and Caleb Williams.
Born April 27, 1934 in Bladen County, she was a daughter of the late Homer L. and Mattie Evelyn Brown. Evelyn was a member of the East Laurinburg Church of God, and enjoyed sewing and crafts such as cross stitch, placemats, curtains, and making Christmas ornaments. She was retired from Abbott Laboratories.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
