Eunice Monroe Gardner, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Caledonia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Laurinburg, officiated by the Rev. Linda Nelson. Visitation will follow the service from 3-4 p.m. in the Morris Morgan Entertainment Center at Scotia Village.
Born May 25, 1928 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Peter Evans and Olga Falk Monroe. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Howell Drug Store and as a bookkeeper for Hughs Texaco in Raeford.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Guin (Jim) of Jamestown and Barbara Wilson (Woody) of Wilson; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hugh Alton Gardner and a host of brothers and sisters.
