Ethel Ruth Stannard

Ethel Ruth Stannard, age 80, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living in Southern Pines.

A graveside service will be at 4:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, masks are recommended and please practice social distancing.

Born February 15, 1941 in Marlboro County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Hood and Dessie Taylor Hood.  She worked in the cafeteria for Scotland County Schools.

She is survived by her siblings, Donald Waldron, of Columbia, SC, Darthy Munford, of Bennettsville, SC, Loretta Dickey, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Otis Hood (Lois) of Marston; and several grandchildren.
