Mr. E. Otto Simms, 88, of 709 Park Circle died Friday, December 3, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.



Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Wil I. Jackson. Burial will be 4 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mooresville.



He is survived by his wife, Kester Templeton Simms; a daughter, Martha Kay Miller of Salisbury; a brother, Clifton Simms of Mooresville; two grandchldren, Garrett Miller of Oxford, MS and Katherine Miller of Raleigh.



Born January 13, 1911 in Mooresville, he was a son of the late William E. and Florida Collins Simms. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Otto came to Laurinburg in 1950 as an overseer with Morgan Mills and became a barber in 1954. He retired in 1985.



He was also an active member of the First United Methodist church where he formerly served on the Board of Stewards and was a member of the Ed Guest Sunday School Class.
