Ernest "Mac" McLean, Jr., 89, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Caledonia United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Bob Ray, Kenneth Blease, and Kelly Barr. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Ivey McLean; his son, Rod McLean (Carie) of Fort Mill, SC; his daughter, Beth M. Causey (Chip) of Wagram; his sisters, Margaret "Susie" Wilkes of Laurinburg and Nancy Colby of OH; his grandchildren, Makenna McLean, Justin Causey, Brandy Bannerman, and Daniel Bannerman. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Bannerman; his brother, Joe McLean and Hubert McLean; and his sister, Lona McLean
Born November 16, 1925 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Margaret Webb McLean and step-son to the late Sue Smith McLean. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II, and later served with the LOF Glass Manufacturing Company. After retirement he served as a sales representative for Scotland Motors.
Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
